The #2 ranked Wrangler Volleyball Team travels to Abilene, TX tomorrow to take on Hill College in the NJCAA Region 5 Volleyball Championship. The match will be played at 2pm at Abilene Wylie High School.
This past weekend, the Wranglers won the WJCAC Tournament to advance to the Region 5 Volleyball Championship. OC defeated Western Texas in the semi-finals in straight sets (25-18, 25-20, 25-14) and then took down New Mexico Military (25-18, 25-15, 25-23) in the championship to capture the WJCAC Tournament title.
With the victories this weekend, Odessa improved their conference record to 12-0 and captured their second straight WJCAC Conference and Tournament Championship. The 12-0 record is the first time the Wranglers have gone undefeated in conference play since 2014.
Odessa (23-2) heads into the match after winning its second consecutive WJCAC Tournament Championship this past weekend. The Wranglers will face Hill College (14-4) who won the Region 5 North Tournament.
A trip to the NJCAA D1 Volleyball National Championship is on the line as the winner will automatically qualify for the event.
