The Odessa Rodeo team kicked off the Spring schedule this past weekend at home as they hosted the 41^st Odessa College Wrangler Rodeo at the Ector County Coliseum.

The Wranglers had a strong performance bring back six cowboys and one cowgirl to the short round.

In the rough stock events, Odessa claimed the top two spots in Bull Riding as Jamie Underwood won the event and Hayden Welsh finished second. In his first rodeo back since last season, Toby Deudney placed second in the Bareback Riding and Linden Raaen finished fifth in the Saddle Bronc Riding.

In the timed events, Jake Deudney finished fifth in the Steer Wrestling and Emily Rafftery placed ninth overall in the Barrel Racing.

As a team, the OC Men's Team scored 340 points and finished third in the team standings. 

Odessa will continue the spring rodeo schedule when the travel to Sweetwater, TX March 27^th through the 29^th to compete at the Ranger College Rodeo.
