Womens Basketball travels to Region 5 Tournament
The Wrangler women's basketball team will open post-season play this Thursday at 5:00pm against McLennan Community College in the first round of the NJCAA Region 5 Tournament.
Odessa is the number three seed in the West after going 9-5 in conference play and 16-9 overall. McLennan is the number two seed from the North with a 14-2 conference record and a 26-3 overall record. This will be the second meeting of the season between the two teams. McLennan defeated Odessa 64-65 back in November.
This year's tournament will be held at the Tiger Pit in Wolfforth, TX and will be live streamed by TSBN Sports at: https://tsbnsports.com/2023-region-5-womens-basketball-tournament/
The tournament will open up on Thursday, March 8th at 1:00pm and will conclude with the Championship game at 4:30pm on Saturday, March 11th.
The NJCAA Region 5 Basketball Tournament features the top four teams from the Western Junior College Athletic Conference against the top four teams from the North Texas Junior College Athletic Conference. The winner of the tournament will receive an automatic bid to the 2023 NJCAA Division 1 Women's Basketball National Tournament in Lubbock, TX
