Delma Zita scored a game-high 20 points to lead New Mexico Junior College to a 75-55 victory against Odessa College in women's basketball action Saturday at the Caster Activity Center.
The Odessa College women's basketball team struggled in the fourth quarter Saturday against New Mexico Junior College.
Sandra Magolico added 17 points and 10 rebounds to the victory, with Dana Grenald finishing with 16.
Tia Shelling and Fanta Daffe each scored 10 points for the Lady Wranglers (7-5 overall, 0-1 in WJCAC).
Odessa College trailed by four (54-50) after three quarters, but the Lady T-Birds (12-2, 1-0) broke the game open in the final 10 minutes.
The Wranglers will be back in action on Monday when they play their first conference home game of the year against Clarendon College. Clarendon comes into the game ranked #20 in the NJCAA D1 Women's Basketball Poll with a perfect 17-0 record. Clarendon beat Western TX 81-54 on Saturday.
Tip-off of Mondays game will be at 5pm at the OC Sports Center.
