Softball Claims WJCAC Conference Title
The Wrangler Softball team wrapped up WJCAC regular season play this past weekend in Borger, TX. Odessa swept the four-game series against Frank Phillips to capture the 2024 WJCAC regular season conference championship.
The Wranglers were 38-12 overall and 23-1 in conference play this season. Odessa will be the #1 seed in the NJCAA Region 5 West Tournament this coming weekend in Lubbock, TX. The Wranglers will open play on Thursday evening at 5:30pm. The bracket and more information will be released later this week.
The winner of the Region 5 West Tournament will receive an automatic bid to the 2024 NJCAA D1 Softball National Tournament.
HELLO WIN COLUMN!!!! – With the Wranglers win in game four on Saturday, Head Coach Doug Eastman collected his 900th career coaching victory.
Eastman is in his first season as the head coach at Odessa. Prior to OC, he was the head coach at Yavapai (AZ) and the College of the Siskiyous (CA).
