Wrangler Softball Heads to Region 5 West Tournament
The Wrangler Softball team will begin post-season play this weekend as they travel to Lubbock, TX for the NJCAA Region 5 West Tournament at Lubbock Christian University.
Odessa is the #1 seed in the tournament after going undefeated in WJCAC play. Their first game in the tournament will be on Friday, May 12th at 5:30pm against the winner of #4 seed Howard vs. #5 seed Frank Phillips.
The winner of the Region 5 West Tournament will advance to the NJCAA D1 Softball World Series in Oxford, AL May 23rd through the 27th. The Wranglers have been to back-to-back World Series the past two years and look to punch their ticket to a third straight appearance.
The Wranglers are currently the #1 team in the NJCAA D1 Softball Poll and are 48-4 on the season and hold a 26-game winning streak.
The 2023 Region 5 West Tournament will be live-streamed by TSBN Sports. Live-stream link will be released closer to the start of the tournament.
