Men's Basketball Opens WJCAC Play with come from behind victory over NMJC

Anthony Marshall scored a game-high 26 points off the bench to lead Odessa College to a 92-89 comeback victory against New Mexico Junior College on Saturday at the Caster Activity Center.

Kiree Huie added 20 points and Dontrell Hewlett finished with 17 for the Wranglers (14-1 overall, 1-0 in WJCAC), who trailed by 12 points at halftime. Odessa played from behind most of the game before taking the lead with just under two minutes to play in the game.

Micah Jones had 19 points to lead the T-Birds (7-8, 0-1), with Logan McLaughlin and Cameron Kimble each finishing with 16 in the loss.

The teams combined for 61 fouls and four technical fouls in the conference opener.

The Wranglers now shift their focus to their first conference home game of the season on Monday when they host Clarendon College at 7pm at the OC Sports Center.  Clarendon won their first confernce game of the year on Saturday taking down Western TX 67-59.
