Basketball opens NJCAA Region 5 Tournament vs. Collin
The OC Men's Basketball team will open the NJCAA Region 5 Basketball Tournament this Thursday as the Wranglers will take on Collin County Community College at 7pm.
The top four seeds from the Western Junior College Athletic Conference and the top for seeds from the North Texas Junior College Athletic Conference will compete in a single elimination tournament with a bid to the 2022 NJCAA D1 Men's Basketball Tournament in Hutchinson, KS awarded to the winner.
Odessa is the #1 seed in the West after finishing undefeated (16-0) in conference play. Collin is the #4 seed in the North, the Cougars went 8-6 in conference play.
The NJCAA Region 5 Basketball Tournament is hosted by Lubbock Sports and will be played at the Frenship Tiger Pit in Wolfforth, TX. The tournament opens on Thursday with four quarterfinal games and ends on Saturday at 4:30pm in the Championship game.
