Former Wrangler Okako Adika Selected in 2023 WNBA Draft

Former Women's Basketball Player Okako Adika was selected in the third round of the 2023 WNBA Draft on Monday night in New York City.

Adika was the sixth pick in the third round, thirtieth overall by the New York Liberty. 

She played at Odessa College for two seasons (2018-19 & 2019-20) averaging just under 10 points per game over that two year span. In her second year (2019-20), Okako was an NJCAA D1 First Team All American and was the Western Junior College Athletic Conference MVP. She helped guide the Wranglers to back to back trips to the NJCAA D1 Women's Basketball National Tournament. 

After her time in Odessa Adika was granted a COVID 19 waiver and played at Butler, TCU, and USC. Last year she averaged 7.3 points per game for the Trojans.
