The Odessa College women's basketball team closed out the WJCAC schedule Thursday with a 50-35 loss to South Plains College at the Texan Dome.

Odessa College (19-10 overall, 7-7 WJCAC) trailed 28-27 entering the fourth quarter before South Plains (17-13, 4-10) pulled away. The Lady Wranglers shot just 20.3 percent (13 of 64), going 1 of 24 from 3-point range.

Mikayla Kuehne scored a game-high 12 points for the Lady Texans, while Chantel Govan had 11 points and 10 rebounds and Maddie Dorris scored 10 points. Haleigh Hill grabbed 14 rebounds as South Plains finished with a 46-39 rebounding edge.

Chinna Fair led Odessa College with 10 points. Tanaka Gapare, Shannon Dozier and Julan McDonald each scored six points for the Lady Wranglers. McDonald led the team with eight rebounds.
