Cruickshanks and Zapata Named NJCAA Softball D1 All Americans

Pitcher Rayna Cruickshanks and Infielder Clarisa Zapata were named to the NJCAA Softball D1 All-American Team earlier today.

Cruickshanks had a dominating season for the Wranglers in the circle. The Alberta Canada native went 28-2 on the season with a 1.77 ERA striking out 262 hitter in 216 innings helping guide Odessa to their second straight thrid place finish at the NJCAA D1 Softball World Series. 

Offensivley, Zapata hit .471 on the season out of the lead off spot in the OC lineup. The Houston, TX native lead the team in homeruns with 21, RBI's with 72, and stolen bases with 22. 

They will both contiune playing softball at the next level as Cruickshanks has signed with Belmont and Zapata will play for UT Tyler next year.
