Wranglers take down South Plains 65-64 in OT

A three-point play by Adrean Johnson with 25 seconds left in overtime was the difference as Odessa College took down South Plains College 65-64 Monday night in WJCAC men's basketball action at the Texan Dome.

The win puts the Wranglers (17-5 overall, 6-2 WJCAC) in a three-way tie for first place with the Texans (17-3, 6-2) and Howard College, who did not play Monday night.

Johnson led Odessa College in scoring with 21 points, including the game-winning points. James Reese finished with 11 thanks to a perfect 9-for-9 shooting from the free throw line.

Gaige Prim led the Texans with a game-high 24 points to go with 13 rebounds. Prim made the tying basket with two seconds left in regulation to send the game into overtime.

Dajour Joseph was the only other scorer in double figures for South Plains, finishing with 12 points off the bench.
