Wrangler Report - February 15th

Men' Basketball: Went 2-1 last week in conference play. Lost at Clarendon 80-69 before defeating Western TX 94-66 and Howard 79-74 in overtime. Odessa is now 10-1 in WJCAC play and 23-2 overall.
Up Next: The Wranglers will travel to Roswell, NM on Thursday to take on New Mexico Military at 7:30pm in the NJCAA Game of the Week on ESPN+. OC beat NMMI 87-58 in their first meeting this year.

Women's Basketball: Went 2-1 last week falling 98-68 to Clarendon and defeating Western TX 86-56 and Howard 70-62. The Wranglers are now 6-4 in conference play at 13-8 overall.  
Up Next: OC will have a week off before they host Midland College at the OC Sports Center on Monday, February 20th.

Baseball: Wranglers went 2-1 in the Brazos Valley Tournament last week. OC lost both games on Thursday, 6-0 to Paris and 10-8 to Alvin before defeating Blinn College 21-18 on Saturday. Odessa is now 3-3 on the season
Up Next: Odessa will play their first home games of the season this weekend when they host Seward County Community College (KS) on Friday and Richland College on Saturday. Double-headers will begin both days at noon at the Wrangler Ballpark.

Softball: OC won all four of their games at the Permian Basin Invitational. The Wranglers defeated North Central Texas College 8-0 and Barton Community College (KS) 10-4 on Friday. Saturday, OC beat Barton 8-0 and Otero Junior College (CO) 22-2. Odessa is now 8-3 overall.
Up Next: OC will travel to Brownwood, TX for the Cisco College Invite. The Wranglers will play a pair of games on Friday against McCook (NE) and Navarro. Saturday, OC will face Western Oklahoma State and Temple. They will conclude the weekend with a double header at home against Western Nebraska on Sunday starting at 11am at the Wrangler Softball Complex

Women's and Men's Golf: Opened the spring season at the Cactus Thaw tournament at Painted Dunes Golf Course in El Paso, TX.
The Women's team won the tournament by 22 strokes over UTPB. Individually, Claudia Alnajim Revuelta and Ailsa Brannock tied for first place at +10. Rylie Rodriguez finished 7th at +17, Rachel Seal finished tied for 8th at +21, and Zara Houghton finished 14th at +23. This is the first tournament championship for the Wranglers this spring.
The Men's Team finished second at +35 over three rounds. OC was the highest finishing NJCAA school at the event. Individually, Laurenz Kubin finished second at even par, Alexander Topgaard finished 6th at +7, and Rohan Miah finished tied for 14th at +12.
