Wrangler Report: November 1st

Volleyball: The Wrangler volleyball team closed out the regular season with a pair of straight set victories over Clarendon and Midland. OC finished the regular season with a 24-7 overall record and a 10-4 conference record. The Wranglers will now shift their focus to the NJCAA Region 5 West Conference where they will be the #3 seed. OC will play at 7pm on November 4th against the #6 seed. The winner of that match will advance to the semi-finals on November 5th at 12pm and face the #2 seed New Mexico Military.

Rodeo: Had eight cowboys and cowgirls make the finals of the Texas Tech Rodeo. Luiz Mendiaz won the team roping and Riggin Shippy won the bull riding. Men's Team finished third in the team standings.

Men' Basketball: Wranglers will open the season Wednesday in Twin Falls, ID at the Immediate Care Tourney hosted by Southern Idaho. OC who is pre-season ranked #6 in the country will play three games in three days. The face #12 Lee College at 6pm on Wednesday, Central Arizona at 4pm on Thursday and #17 Southern Idaho on Friday at 8pm.

They will then travel to Oklahoma City to play a pair of games at the Elite 8 tourney at UCO. OC will face Seminole St at 12pm on Sunday and take on Northern Oklahoma-Tonkawa at 12pm on Monday.

Women's Basketball: Opens the season this Saturday at 11am at home against Cochise College (AZ). Game will be live-streamed at: https://portal.stretchinternet.com/odessacollege/  

Softball: Finishes their fall schedule this week with a pair of games. OC travels to Lubbock on Tuesday to scrimmage Lubbock Christian and will head to El Paso on Saturday to face UTEP.

Men's and Women's Golf: Will host a tournament this week November 3rd and 4th at the Odessa Country Club.
