Wrangler Report: September 20th

Volleyball: Opened WJCAC play last week going 1-1. Odessa defeated Western TX in four sets (25-14,22-25,25-21,25-18) and lost to New Mexico Military in straight sets (27-29,20-25,16-25). The Wranglers are now 15-4 on the season and will continue WJCAC play this week with a pair of home games. Wednesday they will face #19 New Mexico JC at 6pm and on Saturday they will play Frank Phillips College at 2pm.
In the Polls: Odessa is ranked #10 in this weeks NJCAA D1 Volleyball Poll.

Rodeo: Opened the Fall Rodeo Schedule at the Eastern New Mexico Rodeo in Portales, NM this past weekend. Six Wranglers qualified for the Finals, Tyler Graff, Cooper Cano, & Joseph DeNaeyer in Bareback, TW Flowers in Saddle Bronc, Shaylee Terry in Breakaway Roping, and Ethan Marceau in Bull Riding.  TW Flowers won the short go with an 80-point ride and split the Saddle Bronc Title. Cooper Cano finished fourth in the Bareback putting together two quality rides.
Team Points: Both the Men's and Women's Team collected points in the NIRA Southwest Region Team Standings. The men earned 170 while the women earned 30 points.
On the Road Again: The Wrangler Rodeo Team will continue their fall schedule this weekend as they travel to Alpine, TX to compete at the Sul Ross State University College Rodeo.

Women's Golf: Travels to Waco, TX to compete in the Waco River Classic at Cottonweed Creek. The event will feature an all NJCAA field with teams from across Texas.

Men's Golf: Ranked #7 in the NJCAA D1 Men's Golf Coaches Poll.

Baseball: Will continue fall scrimmages with their first home game on Tuesday September 20th against Howard College at Wrangler Field.

Softball: Wranglers will travel to San Angelo, TX this weekend to play against Angelo State University.
