Wrangler Report: September 13th

Volleyball - Finished off their non-conference schedule this weekend at the NMJC Classic in Hobbs, NM. Odessa went 3-1 on the weekend, defeating Otero, Trinidad State, and Tyler Junior College. Their only loss came to #14 Blinn in five sets. The Wranglers are now 14-3 on the year.

WJCAC Play – Odessa will open Western Junior College Athletic Conference play this week with a pair of games. On Wednesday the Wranglers host Western Texas College at 6pm at the OC Sports Center. OC will travel to Roswell, NM on Saturday to take on #9 New Mexico Military

In the Poll: The Wranglers held steady at #8 in this weeks NJCAA D1 Volleyball Poll.

Women's Golf – Placed sixth at the West Texas A&M Fall Invitational at Tascosa Country Club in Amarillo, TX. The Wranglers finished the tournament +32. Rosanna Halls lead the team finishing tied for 9th (+3). Alisa Brannock finished tied 15th (+7), Claudia Alnajim 26th (+11), Bailey Ballou 33rd (+16), and Zara Houghton 36th (+18). They will travel to Waco, TX next weekend to compete in the Waco River Classic at Cottonweed Creek.

Men's Golf – Competed at Andrews Collegiate/AM in Andrews, TX. Odessa finished fourth in the event.

Baseball – Continues their fall schedule with a pair of scrimmages this week. OC travels to Hobbs, NM on Tuesday to face New Mexico Junior College. On Saturday the Wranglers will head to Abilene, TX to play Vernon and New Mexico Military at ACU.

Softball – Heads to Ranger, TX on Saturday for their first road trip of the fall where they will scrimmage Ranger College.

Rodeo – The Wrangler Rodeo Team will compete in the first of five rodeos this fall when they travel to Portales, NM to compete at the Eastern New Mexico Rodeo September 15t through the 17th.
