Region V has announced the Women's Basketball Players of the Week for the week of Dec. 29 – Jan. 4.

The Western Junior College Athletic Conference Player of the Week is Okako Adika of Odessa College.

The 6-0 sophomore forward from Denmark guided the Lady Wranglers to back-to-back road wins last week. She averaged 24 points and 7.5 rebounds per game. She scored 21 points against Coastal Bend and 27 against Temple.

The Wranglers travel to Midland College on Thursday, January 9th to take on the Chaps.  Tip-off for the women's game starts at 5:45 and the men's game follows at 7:30
