Kamryn Lemon converted a trio of free throws in the final moments to help the Odessa College women's basketball team defeat Collin County College, 76-73, in a NJCAA Region V Tourmament game Wednesday at Abilene Christian University's Moody Coliseum.
Lemon scored a game-high 30 points to lead the Lady Wranglers into the semifinal, where they will face WJCAC rival South Plains College at 1 p.m. Friday.
Amanda Soderqvist added 14 points to the victory, with Yanina Todorova finishing with 12 as Odessa College (24-6) took control in the third quarter and then hung on down the stretch.
Destiny Thurman scored 21 points to lead Collin County (20-8), with Jordynn Hernandez chipping in 17 and Shala Robinson 14 in defeat.
Odessa College will face South Plains College in the Region Semi-final on Friday March 8th at 1:00pm.
