Cross Country Runners Qualify for NJCAA D1 Championships

Three Odessa College Cross Country Runners have qualified for the 2019 NJCAA D1 Cross Country Championships this coming weekend.  Jose Carrasco, Jared Myers, & Jackline Kwambi will represent Odessa College this weekend in Albuquerque, NM.

The races will take place at the University of New Mexico North Golf Course.  The men will run an 8k race that begins at noon and the women will run a 5k that will start at approximately 1pm.  Each race will feature over 250 of the top runners from NJCAA schools around the nation.

This will be the second time Carrasco and Myers will compete at the Cross Country Championships as both runners competed in Garden City, KS last year.

"I am very proud of these three sophomores that qualified for Nationals" said Coach Rachel Keylon.  "This is a great experience for all of them and a great opportunity for exposure for Jose and Jared as they are being recruited by four year universities.  It is going to be a great meet."
