Odessa College sophomores Henry Ngetich and Jordan Esparza each reached the NJCAA National Cross Country Championship after a strong showing at the Region V Championships Saturday.

The Wranglers placed fourth with 103 points, while South Plains College scored a perfect 15 points for the top spot. El Paso Community College took second (52) and Ranger College rounded out the top three (85). Ngetich led Odessa College in 13th place (27:19.33), while Esparza took 18th (27:46.33).

Irene Warlo led the Lady Wranglers in 20th (21:56.57).
