Volleyball hires Interim Head Coach

Congratulations to Kristi Gray who has recently been named the new Odessa College Interim Head Volleyball Coach! Coach Gray will become the 2nd Interim Head Volleyball Coach in Odessa College history and will look to make her mark on next year's volleyball season. Under the direction of Alana Rowland, Gray spent the last 4 seasons as the Assistant Coach for the Wranglers. Coach Gray helped develop three conference MVPs, 15 All Conference players, and has helped 20 players move on to four year schools to continue their volleyball careers. Coach Gray expressed her excitement by saying, "I am very fortunate to become the Interim Head Volleyball Coach at Odessa College. I was able to learn a lot from Coach Rowland and am excited to expand on her success."

The Odessa College Wranglers Volleyball team have been successful in their short time as a program.  Their current overall record over the past five years is 91-71 with a .562 winning percentage.  The Wranglers have also advanced to the Region V Championship game the last three seasons.  This past off season, Coach Gray has focused on recruiting the best volleyball players around the country.  Coach Gray stated, "I have done a lot of recruiting the past few months and feel like the team we have coming in next year can be a national contender."

Once again, the athletic department would like to congratulate Coach Gray on becoming the new Interim Head Volleyball Coach, and we are excited to see the success she will bring to Odessa College.
