Wrangler Women win on the Road at Howard College

The Odessa College rode a fast start to victory, defeating Howard College 59-40 Thursday night at the Dorothy Garrett Coliseum in Western Junior College Athletic Conference action.

The Lady Wranglers outscored the Lady Hawks 21-6 in the first quarter to provide the cushion needed for the win.

Kamryn Lemon finished the game with a double-double, scoring 15 points to go with 10 rebounds and five assists for Odessa College. Okako Adika also finished in double figures with 11.

It is the second consecutive WJCAC win for Odessa College and the first conference win on the road this season.

Howard College was led by a game-high 18 points from Corbyn Cunningham.

Odessa College returns home next week as it hosts Clarendon College at 5:45 p.m. Monday night at the OC Sports Center.
