The Odessa College women's basketball team struggled to find its scoring touch but still was able to earn a 66-58 victory against Eastern Arizona College in the season opener Friday for both teams.

Leticia Soares scored 21 points to lead the Lady Wranglers, with Shannon Dozier adding 10 points in the victory. Odessa College made just 24 of 69 shots from the field, along with a 13-for-30 effort from the free throw line.

Miyah Ursery led Eastern Arizona with a game-high 22 points, while teammate Kia Braxton had a game-high 12 rebounds and five assists in the loss.
