Duran & Turner named WJCAC Softball Players of the Week

The Western Junior College Athletic Conference has announced the Softball Players of the Week for the week of Feb. 2-8.

Becca Duran of Odessa College is the WJCAC Softball Position Player of the Week.

The freshman shortstop from Austin, TX hit .600 for the week with a double, home run, 2 RBIs and 2 runs scored.

Cori Turner of Odessa College is the WJCAC Softball Pitcher of the Week.

The sophomore from Georgetown, TX made two appearances last week, going 1-0. In 7 1/3 innings, she allowed 2 earned runs on 8 hits with 5 strikeouts and a walk.

Odessa Softball returns home this weekend to the Wrangler Softball Complex.  On Friday, OC will host Western Nebraska in a double-header starting at 1pm and then on Saturday the Wranglers will take on Tyler Junior College starting at noon.
