Wrangler Softball Sweeps Midland in 4 Game Series
The Odessa College softball team capped off an impressive weekend by completing a Saturday sweep of Midland College at Wrangler Field.
The Lady Wranglers took the first game 4-2 before closing out with an 8-4 win over the Lady Chaps.
In the opener, Odessa College (16-17 overall, 7-5 WJCAC) scored all four runs in the fourth inning and held off a late surge from Midland College (21-15, 4-8), who scored two runs in the seventh inning.
Morgyn Fulgham went 1 for 3 with a double and two RBIs, while Cori Turner pitched a complete game, giving up two runs on six hits to earn the win.
The Lady Wranglers got off to a fast start in Game 2, scoring runs in each of the first four innings to create some distance.
Fulgham continued her solid afternoon, finishing 2 for 4 with a double and two RBIs. Cami Deanda stepped up as well, finishing 3 for 4 with a double, RBI and a run scored.
