Four Odessa College Wranglers set to compete in Wrangler National Finals Rodeo.

The bright light of Las Vegas will shine on four former Odessa College Wranglers.  The Wrangler National Finals Rodeo (WNFR) will run December 3-12 and for former Odessa College Wranglers will be competing there this year.

Ty Wallace, of Colbran, Colorado will make his second trip to the WNFR in the bull riding.  Wallace make his first trip last year in the bull riding as well.  Wallace attended Odessa College From 2012-2014.  While at Odessa College Wallace won the National Intercollegiate Rodeo Association (NIRA) Southwest Region Bull Riding championship twice.  Wallace also finished in the top ten in the Nation in the Bull Riding twice while attending Odessa College. Wallace enters the WNFR ranked 13th in the World Standings.

Dustin Bowen, formerly of Pennsylvania, now claims Waller, Texas as home also will be competing at the WNFR in the Bull Riding.  Bowen attended Odessa College from 2009-2013.  Bowen earned several qualifications to the CNFR while attending Odessa College.  Bowen qualified for the CNFR three times in the Bull Riding and twice in the Bareback Riding.  Bowen competed in 122 Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association Rodeos on his way to his first WNFR qualification.  Bowen enters the WNFR ranked 10th in the World Standings.

Clint Laye, of Provost, Alberta, Canada, qualified for the WNFR in the bareback riding.  Laye attended Odessa College from 2012-2013.  This is the first WNFR qualification for Laye.  Laye qualified for the CNFR in the bareback riding while competing for the Odessa College Rodeo Team. Laye enters the WNFR ranked 13th in the World Standings.

Cassidy Kruse, of Gillette, Wyoming, rounds out the qualifiers for the 2015 WNFR.  Kruse attended Odessa College from 2013-2014.  She will compete in the barrel racing and enters the WNFR ranked 8th in the World Standings.

The Wrangler National Finals will be on the CBS Sports Network nightly from December 3-12.

The Odessa College Rodeo will be February 25-27 at the Ector County Coliseum.
