Rylee Jo is currently pursuing her degree in Agriculture Communications, and hopes to attend Texas Tech upon graduation.  She would like to compete on their Rodeo team and continue her education in Agriculture Communications.  Rylee Jo hopes to make the NFR (National Finals Rodeo) and become a professional rodeo athlete, or she would like to train horses.

Q: Who is your favorite professional athlete? Why?

Rylee Jo: "My favorite professional athlete is Joe Frost (professional bull rider) because I personally know him and he has become my inspiration to compete in Rodeo."

Q: What was your greatest moment as an athlete?

Rylee Jo: "In high school, I was a three time state champion for All-Around, but for some reason, that third state championship felt so great.  I just remember being at a loss of words from so much excitement."

Q: Do you have any heroes?

Rylee Jo: "Both of my parents are my heroes, they have supported me since day one and have given me the opportunities to succeed.  I can't thank them enough for everything they have done for me."

Q: Do you have any superstitions?

Rylee Jo: "As every rodeo athlete knows, putting your cowboy hat on any bed is a definite no."

Q: What is one thing you would like to accomplish?

Rylee Jo: "I would really like to make the CNF (College National Finals) in two events, breakaway and barrels."

Q: Describe how you feel about being a Wrangler?

Rylee Jo: "It's been great so far, everyone has been extremely helpful, including my professors and Coach Aragon.  I feel welcomed every time I step on this campus and I am excited to see what the future holds!"
After speaking with Coach Aragon, he stated, "Rylee Jo is one of the most consistent competitors I have ever coached.  She is a great person, great student and a great competitor. You can't ask for much more than that."
