OC Holds Off Late Run From Frank Phillips

The Odessa College men's basketball team won its WJCAC opener Wednesday night against Frank Phillips College 84-74.

Leading the Wranglers (11-2 overall, 1-0 WJCAC) were the duo of LJ Figueroa, who finished with 28 points, and Keandre Cook, who finished the game with 17 points.

Odessa College led by 23 at halftime and kept Frank Phillips College at bay for the rest of the game.

The Wranglers return to action on the road Saturday against Wayland Baptist's junior varsity team. Their next conference game is on Dec. 11 at home against Midland College.
