The OC Blues Dance Team had the opportunity last week to perform for a couple of Odessa elementary schools.  Last Thursday, the Blues went over to St. John's Episcopal School to help kick off their Annual Kooky Karnaval pep rally.  The Kooky Karnival is St. John's Annual Halloween Festival and is the school's annual fundraiser.  On Friday, the dancers then headed over to Sam Houston Elementary to perform and help raise awareness for the school's  "Drug Free" week.  

OC Blues team captain, Emily Lara said she "enjoys the events becuase I love the reaction we get from the kids.  They not only enjoy the performance, but some get inspired to participate in activities, such as dance or other sports, which teaches team work and individual hard work as well."
