Baseball falls in Mid-Week Slug-fest to New Mexico

The Odessa College baseball team could not complete the rally against New Mexico Junior College, falling 20-15 in a nonconference game Tuesday afternoon at Wrangler Field.

The Wranglers (20-9 overall) finished with 17 hits and two errors while the Thunderbirds (18-9) had 22 hits and four errors.

Kyler Castillo led the Wranglers in hits with four while scoring two runs and posting two RBIs. Tyler Latham had two runs, two hits and one RBI. Ivan Melendez had three hits, two of which were Homeruns and four RBIs.

Rody Barker had four runs, four hits and three RBIs for the Thunderbirds.

The Wranglers will be back in action on Friday March 29th when the play WJCAC opponent Western Texas College in a double-header starting at noon.
