Odessa College Swept At Cisco College

The Odessa College Wranglers were swept in their Saturday doubleheader by the Cisco College Wranglers, losing 8-7 in the opener and 9-6 in the nightcap.

Cisco College (19-0) won the first game on William Hollis' one-out double in the seventh. Hollis finished 3 for 4 with two doubles and two RBIs.

Odessa College (7-10) overcame deficits of 4-1 and 7-5 before Hollis ended it. Mitch Holding, who was 2 for 4, hit a three-run homer as Odessa College took a 5-4 lead in the third inning. In the seventh, Deylan Moreno singled in the tying run.

Derek Wells (2-0) recorded one out to get the win for Cisco. J.J. Irvin (0-1) took the loss for Odessa College.

In the second game, Cisco led 9-0 after five innings before Odessa College got on the board in the sixth with Cade Galvan's home run and Moreno's RBI single. In a four-run seventh, Harry Fullerton doubled in two runs and Odessa College loaded the bases before Cisco's Daniel Nelson got the final out.

Joshua Lapierre (1-0) got the win with four innings of relief. Odessa College starter Eric Ogletree (0-1) gave up five runs on eight hits over 2 2-3 innings.
