Baseball Splits With Ranger College

The Odessa College Wranglers split their doubleheader Friday at Ranger College, winning the opener 5-3 and dropping the nightcap 10-4.

In the seven-inning first game, Mitch Holding hit a three-run homer in the seventh to break a 2-2 tie. Holding, Wade Raburn, and Tresten Kennard each went 2 for 4 with Deylan Moreno going 2 for 3 for the Wranglers (7-8). Noah Bartlett (1-0) pitched a complete game, striking out five.

In the second game, Ranger College (7-6) led 5-0 after three innings. Odessa College got RBI singles from Moreno and Hunter Avila in the fifth. Kennard and Harry Fullerton drove in runs in the ninth.

On Saturday, the Wranglers visit Cisco College for a doubleheader.
