No. 6 McLennan Community College Knocks Out No. 11 Odessa College

In a game that finish after midnight Monday morning, the No. 11 Odessa College baseball team saw its season come to a close against No. 6 McLennan Community College during the NJCAA Region V Division I Baseball Tournament.

Chase Sortor supplied a game-high three RBIs to lift the Highlanders past the Wranglers for a 9-2 victory during an elimination game at Dan Law Field at Texas Tech.

Kyler Castillo and Masen Hibbeler each supplied two hits as Odessa College concludes its season with a 46-13 record. Shaston Johnson suffered the season-ending loss after he gave up six runs on seven hits over 3 2/3 innings.

The Highlanders turned around about 12 hours later and defeated No. 16 Grayson College for a spot in the regional championship game with Weatherford College.
