Bocchi, Queen Pitch Shutouts As Odessa College Rolls To Wins

Matteo Bocchi and Connor Queen each supplied shutout performances on the mound to help the No. 11 Odessa College baseball team to 6-0 and 12-0 wins over Frank Philips College on Friday.

Bocchi threw seven innings, allowed five hits and struck out six on 89 pitches. Queen followed with five shutout innings and he gave up two hits with five strikeouts. The Wranglers (29-7 overall, 14-4 WJCAC) supplied a total of 25 hits and 18 runs.

In the opener, Wade Raburn supplied a three-run home run in the fourth inning. Kyler Castillo went 4 for 4 with two RBIs and two runs scored during the second game.
