OC Sweeps NMMI

The Odessa College baseball team swept a WJCAC doubleheader Saturday — taking down New Mexico Military Institute 8-7 and 16-5.

The Wranglers (26-3 overall, 11-1 WJCAC) needed all nine innings to win the first game against the Broncos as they secured the win with the game's final run in the bottom of the ninth inning at American Legion Park.

Odessa College's bats came alive in the latter game with 18 hits in a five-inning contest.

The Wranglers return to action Wednesday on the road when they travel to face Midland College.
