Wrangler Cross Country takes first at USW Invitational.

The Cross Country team ran well this past weekend at the University of the Southwest Invitational in Hobbs, NM. 

The Men's team had three runners finish in the top five and five runners in the top ten to win the Men's  Race.  Jose Carrasco finished second overall with a time of 30:44.42. Antonio Herrera finished third (30:57.67), Jose Araujo fourth (31:23.52), Armando Jimenez seventh (31:56.73), and Jarred Myers (31.58.22) finished eighth. 

"It was nice to finally run a race with a complete team of healthy runners." said Head Coach Rachel Keylon. "This is a great way to end the regular season and gives us some momentum heading into regionals." 

On the Women's side Jerni Guerrero continued her strong season finishing 12th with a time of 22:57.44. 

"I could not be more proud of these kids" said Keylon.

The Wranglers will travel to Ranger on October 27th to compete at the Region V Championships.
