Coach Baumann Honored in return to New Plymouth High School

Over the Holiday Break, Odessa College Head Basketball Coach Kris Baumann returned home to be honored at his high school.

The New Plymouth, ID native had his #50 jersey retired at halftime of the New Plymouth vs. Homedale basketball game on December 29th.

Baumann holds several New Plymouth basketball records including; most points in a game 47, most points in a season 606, and is the All-Time leading scorer in NPHS basketball history with 1312 career points. 

In 1993 he helped guide the Pilgrims in winning their first and only Idaho State Championship.  Kris was named the 1994 Idaho Gatorade Player of the Year, awarded to the top basketball player in the state.
