Wrangler Spotlight: James Reese

Sophomore Guard James Reese is having an impressive start to the 2018-19 Basketball Season. Through 14 games this season James is averaging 17 points per game and has scored over 30 points in three games. His season high 41 points came in a 92-83 victory over Hill College on November 24th

The Eastover, South Carolina native is shooting over 50 percent from three-point land and near 60 percent from the floor landing him national attention from NCAA schools across the country.

James stopped by before practice to sit down and talk to us about the 2018-19 season.

Q: Tell me your thoughts on this team and the season so far?

A: I like the team a lot, we get along real well.  The season has been kind of up and down so far but that is going to change.

Q: Q: Being a transfer, what is the biggest difference between this year and last year?

A: I am not use to riding on the bus as much as we do, at my old school (Buffalo) we would fly to a lot of places.  There is not much of a step down when it comes to competition.  I honestly never thought I would be a transfer.

Q: What are your plans after this year is over?

A: I don't plan to go back to a school similar to the one I came from.  I want the opportunity to go play at a place and be an immediate impact player.

Q: Do you have any pregame rituals or superstitions?

A: I always listen to the same one song before every game.  It's always the last one I listen to during pregame.

Q: Tell us more about yourself. Do you have any hidden talents?

A: I was a South Carolina State Champion in the High Jump, I cleared 6'8 to win.  I like to fish with my grandpa when I am at home.

Q: What do you like most about Odessa College?

A: It totally different than I expected. People told me that there wouldn't be a lot to do when I got here but I actually enjoy it here.
