Former standout finishes the year as the number 60 ranked golfer on the PGA Tour.

Former Odessa College Golfer Abraham Ancer is coming off the best season of his young career.  2018 turned into a special season for Ancer as he finished the year ranked number 60 in the PGA Tour's Fed Ex Cup Standings.  In 30 PGA Tour Events he made the cut 20 times, finished in the top 25 nine times including five top ten finishes.   

His best finish of the year was in June at the Quicken Loans National at TPC Potomac at Avenel Farm in Maryland where he finished tied for fourth place at 11 under par with Tiger Woods. He finished the 2018 season earning just over 1.7 million dollars.  2018-2019 will mark Abraham's third season on the PGA Tour.

Ancer attended Odessa College during the 2009-2010 school year and is one of the most decorated players to come the Wrangler Golf Program.  While at Odessa he was named 1st Team All-American. In 2010 he received the Jack Nicklaus Award as the NJCAA National Player of the Year and the Phil Mickelson Award that goes to the NJCAA Freshman of the Year. 

He collected Six Individual Tournament Victories, five in a row, and was the 2010 Region V Champion, the Texas State Champion, and the WJCAC Champion.  He was awarded All State, All Region V and WJCAC All-Conference.  Ancer was also crowned Golfstat NJCAA Scoring Champion. 

After his time at OC he transferred to the University of Oklahoma where his finished second in program history in career scoring, third all-time with 352 birdies, tied for third all-time with 10 career eagles and finished OU with a career-best 57 rounds of par or better.
