ODESSA COLLEGE ATHLETIC TRAINING PROGRAM 

 

Odessa College is proud to have one of the best Sports Medicine programs in the nation for junior colleges.   With its facilities and unlimited support from the administration, student trainers and athletes can be assured they are receiving the best care and education available. 

The Sports Medicine program staffs 12-16 student trainers per year.  With the overall reputation the program has earned, student trainers can easily transfer to four-year schools if they choose to continue in this field.

The OC Sports Medicine Program works closely with the Steward Orthopedic Group, Dr. Luv Singh and Dr. Jonathan Boyle serving as the chief orthopedic surgeons.

Optimus Physical Therapy and Phytex Rehabilitation serve as the main physical therapy clinics used by the OC Athletes.  Odessa College also utilize several doctors in the area to serve the needs of the athletes.

The Odessa College Sports Medicine Program has the distinction of being the only school in the WJCAC Conference to receive the Student Trainer of the Year award three years in a row.
